Mission

Along with discipleship, we also aim to extend the love of Christ to the poor, the needy, the destitute, and the orphan, reminding them that they are not alone. We strive to share not only the message of salvation but also their burdens, standing with them in times of pain, suffering, and loss, while also rejoicing with them in moments of hope and joy. By offering both spiritual guidance and practical support, we seek to reflect the compassion of Christ, showing that His presence brings comfort, dignity, and belonging to every soul. Our mission is therefore twofold: to call people to repentance and faith while also demonstrating Christ’s love in action through care and service. Everything we do is rooted in Scripture, with the ultimate goal of glorifying God, making Christ known, and reminding people, whether in spiritual struggle or life’s hardships, that they truly do not walk alone.

“I Don’t Walk Alone” is a discipleship ministry dedicated to walking with believers who feel spiritually stagnant, weighed down by sin, or caught in lukewarm faith. We exist to help those who long to break free from complacency and experience the fullness of life in Christ. Many Christians, though familiar with church and the language of faith, often struggle with doubt about their salvation and lack a true, transformative relationship with Jesus. Our ministry seeks to guide them from uncertainty to assurance, from passive belief to an active, living faith. We are committed to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection, as the only way to the Father, affirming that salvation comes by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone.

People and culture

Nagaland is a small state located in Northeast India. It has vibrant tribal communities rich in culture and tradition. However, life in the remote rural villages of Nagaland is marked by economic hardship, social challenges, and lack of access to basic human needs. While community spirit remains strong, the reality is that most villagers live in poverty, with very limited opportunities for growth and progress.

Many villages are located in hilly, forested areas far from towns. Roads are poor and often unusable during the rainy season, landslides very common and often distracting Electricity is irregular, internet connectivity is almost absent, and reliable water supply is scarce.

Lack of proper Healthcare is a major issue. Besides shortage of doctors, primary health centers are far away, and in emergencies, families must travel long distances to reach district hospitals. Many rely on traditional medicine due to lack of alternatives.

The majority(more than 60%)of villagers are farmers, practicing shifting (jhum) or terrace cultivation. Productivity is low due to outdated techniques and lack of modern tools and proper irrigation.

Local village schools often lack qualified teachers, proper classrooms, and learning materials. Parents desire to send their children to unban town, however, high cost of fees, travel, and accommodations make this impossible for most families.

An average household yearly income is around 1 -1.2 lakh rupees( $1000-$1,500 US dollars). The average daily income is about 234 -250 rupees under government minimum wage. But In reality, most families earn much less because work is not available every day.

Many households have 4 -6 children, which create an immense financial strain. Parents struggle to feed their families and send their children to school. Malnutrition and school dropouts are common due to poverty.

Poverty Nagaland continues to weigh heavily on many families, and with it the light of the Gospel often grows dim. Many still live as nominal or lukewarm Christians, struggling to survive rather than thrive in faith. It is difficult to be a faithful steward of God’s blessings when one’s stomach is empty and hope feels distant.

Through I Don’t Walk Alone ministry, we believe that sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ must go hand in hand with showing His love in action. A simple meal, a kind word, and the message of salvation can bring revival to the weary and new life to those who feel forgotten reminding them that in Jesus Christ, no one walks alone.
